Spadea – requiring the Pledge of Allegiance is ‘phony patriotism’
The Assembly State and Local Government Committee gave its unanimous endorsement Thursday to a bill which would require all public meetings to begin with the Pledge of Allegiance. In my typical contrarian fashion, I have a problem with this.
I mean... seriously?
There's NOTHING better they can do? We've got high taxes, no middle class, an absent Governor, and they want to pass a law that would require this empty gesture? Come on.
