Tennis player Christina McHale was born in Teaneck, NJ.

At the age of 3, her family moved to Hong Kong until the age of 8. After deciding to move back to the United States, her family bought a house in Englewood Cliffs.

Once McHale turned 15, she decided to focus on tennis and left home to train at the USTA Training Center Headquarters in Boca Raton, Fla. McHale beat then-number-one-ranked tennis player Caroline Wozniacki at the 2011 Western and Southern Open.

McHale will be competing in her first Olympics as a member of the U.S. Tennis team.
