Thirty-year-old Steven Wisnowski of Barnegat is slated to make an initial court appearance in Newark Friday.

According to a superseding complaint, Wisnowski targeted banks in Middlesex, Ocean and Monmouth counties between October 2013 and January 2014.

Authorities say Wisnowski wore hats, hooded jackets and wigs to conceal his identity. On two occasions, prosecutors allege Wisnowski hinted to tellers that he had a gun.

Law enforcement tracked Wisnowski's vehicle and waited to arrest him after they say he robbed the Fulton Bank in Edison in January.
