You can never have too many life hacks. Anything to make life a little bit easier is a good thing.

To that end, we've come up with a few more tricks that use items most people already have in their homes.

Don't have a match? Use spaghetti

Or a fettuccini noodle. You know how sometimes, you need a long match to light something like a barbecue grill or a fireplace? Here's a trick: Grab an uncooked noodle (use the dried variety, not fresh). Hold it against the flame on your stove or use a lighter until it ignites. You'll have a good minute before the flame burns out, which, for most people should be more than enough time to light whatever.

Easy ice pack

Here's something you should keep in your freezer at all times, especially if your kids ( or you) tend to get a lot of bumps and bruises. Take a kitchen sponge, wet it, place it in a plastic zipper bag and stash it in the freezer. It won't drip and it stays cold for a long time. Instant ice pack!

Clean your headphone jack

Ok, sometimes your smartphone may think the headphones are already plugged in, or they may not work properly because the headphone jack is dirty or clogged with debris. Easy (free) solution: place your mouth over the jack and suck out the debris. It was sound unpleasant, but it's a lot better than paying a cell phone store or tech to fix it.

So there you have it. Three more life hacks. What tips and tricks do you use every day to make life easier? Let us know! tweet @dennisandjudi or @NJ1015.
