Jobs have been coming back so far this year. But there remains a lot of uncertainty about the rest of the spring and summer.

On Wednesday, there was more encouraging information about hiring, as payroll processor ADP reported a gain of 209-thousand jobs across the country in March. Also, the Institute for Supply Management reported very good gains in service sector jobs, considered the lion's share of the workforce.

Wall Street on Wednesday seemed more focused on the report from the Federal reserve that was issued Tuesday, saying they are less inclined to add additional stimuli to help the economy.

Economic analyst Patrick O'Keefe of J-H Cohn in Roseland says for the first time since 2006,we've seen a three-month jobs gain averaging over 200-thousand per month. He says, "employers are telling us around the country that they intend to continue to hire."

But he cautions there were early-year job gains the past two years dampened by higher gas prices, and there are fears history could repeat itself. However, O'Keefe believes Friday's jobs report will be better than the 210-thousand expected employment increase. He says he is looking for 225-thousand jobs added in March, when the U-S Labor Department delivers their data.

There is hope the gains will cut into our high unemployment rates, 9 percent in New Jersey, 8.3 percent nationally.
