The last of Japan's 50 nuclear reactors has been switched off as hundreds of people hailed the move.

No reactor shut for checkups has gone back on line since last year's tsunami-caused meltdown.

Many nuclear opponents in Japan say they're not concerned about government warnings of summer power shortages. Hundreds marched through a Tokyo park waving banners saying "No nukes" to mark the shut-down.
