Security will be heightened for the Rutgers football game against Kansas on Saturday.

"Additional measures will be in place for this Saturday's homecoming game," athletics director Julie Hermann in a statement, although she did not list additional measures that will be in place for the noon kickoff at High Point Solutions Stadium. "We do not discuss the details of security, as it could compromise the security we provide.''

This game will be the first since team captain Leonte Carroo was suspended from the team after being accused of assaulting a woman outside the Hale Center after the game.

Carroo's lawyer for Family Court, William Fetky, made public on Wednesday cell phone video of the incident he says clears his client.

"He’s been suspended, he’s been charged, he misses the game against Penn State, he’s missing all these games — and this kid did nothing,” Fetky said.

Some of the policies already in effect for football games at High Point Solutions Stadium include a ban on alcoholic beverages, selfie sticks, balloons, balls, bottles, cans, containers, coolers, fireworks, laser pointers, noise making devices, pets, smoking, sticks/poles, strollers, umbrellas, weapons and other items deemed dangerous and/or inappropriate.

The stadium also prohibits most purses and bags except approved plastic carriers. Diaper bags, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs, cinch bags, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags are also banned.
