“On September 27th and 28th individuals from around Middlesex County are going to have an opportunity to bring in weapon – up to 3 weapons - and get up to $250 for each weapon, depending upon the type of weapon and the condition that it’s in,” says Acting State Attorney General John Hoffman.

The three host locations for the Middlesex buyback include Sacred Heart Parish Hall in New Brunswick, the Sayre Woods Bible Church in Old Bridge, and Cathedral International in Perth Amboy, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Hoffman adds when individuals bring their guns in, there are “no questions asked, we would not want to be in a position that in any way would deter people from getting unwanted and unused guns off the streets, so we do not trace the weapons.”

Residents with questions about the gun buyback program can call the Attorney General’s Citizen Services unit at (609) 984-5828 or visit nj.gov/guns.
