New Jersey mourns the loss of esteemed Assembly Republican leader Alex DeCroce after he collapsed and died Monday night at the State House.

TUESDAY'S HEADLINES

• A marathon Monday at the State House ends in tragedy as Assembly Minority Leader Alex DeCroce passes away at the age of 75.
• Subsequently, Governor Christie postpones his scheduled State of the State address, where he will instead briefly speak to the Legislature before eulogizing his long-time friend and mentor, DeCroce.
• The tragic news puts a damper on a new FDU poll that reveals very positive numbers for the Governor.
• Governor Christie may soon face a very big decision on whether or not to sign a bill on his desk allowing same sex marriage in New Jersey.
• Monday was a very busy at the State House.  A bill that would strengthen requirements for the GDL program moved forward in the Assembly.
• Stacy Proebstle reports that a bill that would allow horse race betting in some bars and restaurants advances.
• Jersey lawmakers also go on the offensive to combat steroid use amongst high school student athletes.
