The weekend turned out to be cooler than I expected.

In fact, Sunday's temperatures only reached the upper 50s and low 60s with a quarter to just under a half an inch of rain in spots, a lot less in the Trenton area, however.

Today, we start off with some locally dense fog in parts of the state, not all; maybe not in extreme South Jersey and the northeastern counties, but everywhere else until 8 or 9 a.m.

Clouds may break for some sun later with the risk of a shower or thunderstorm later in the day. High temperatures today in the upper 70s to perhaps 80, but noticeably cooler near the beach and boardwalk.

We'll have some fog again tonight, maybe dense, but not much rain or any showers, though.

After some fog to start tomorrow morning until at least mid-morning, clouds will break for some sunshine and high temperatures could make the lower 80s, but again cooler near the water.

We'll have the increasing threat of a shower or thunderstorm scattered around over the next couple of days.
