Christie headed to Maryland
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is coming to Maryland for an announcement related to his presidential campaign.
Christie's campaign announced Wednesday's event at the Double T Diner near Maryland's capitol in Annapolis.
Christie was a strong supporter of Gov. Larry Hogan's underdog campaign last year in a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans 2-1. A spokesman for Hogan declined to comment on the event.
Christie, who then chaired the Republican Governors Association, made several campaign stops in Maryland for Hogan. The RGA spent $1.2 million in the final weeks of the campaign on Hogan's behalf.
Christie has been wearing a "Hogan Strong" bracelet since the Maryland governor's cancer diagnosis was announced last month.
