The tractor trailer's load of bees shifted exiting onto exit 30 for Maple Avenue from northbound I-287 and made their way out according to the Star Ledger.

Police brought in beekeepers to try and re-capture the bees using a sugary syrup to attract them according to WNBC which reports the bees were returned to the truck and back on their way to Maine by early afternoon.

It's the second accident involving something unusual on I-287. Last Monday a carnival ride fell off a tractor trailer at exit 4 when it hit a guard rail.
