Barbara Buono Lags in Gubernatorial Race Fundraising
Gov. Chris Christie's fundraising juggernaut is continuing as he seeks re-election effort, while his likely Democratic opponent is lagging behind.

Christie's campaign on Monday announced that he has raised $6.2 million for next month's primary election.
State Sen. Barbara Buono has not released a total ahead of Monday's deadline to report fundraising totals to the state Election Law Enforcement Commission. But filings show that as of April 30, she had raised $738,000 in donations to leverage $1.1 million in public matching money.
Buono will need to pick up her fundraising if she wants to get the maximum public match of $3.5 million for the June 4 primary. No major-party candidate for governor who has accepted public financing and won the primary has failed to get the maximum match.
