When I heard the news today that Ariel Castro had hanged himself to death in an Ohio prison, I thought, "Good!" In case that name's not ringing a bell, Castro is the scumbag who kidnapped, imprisoned, and raped those three young women in Cleveland. I assume I'm with the majority in thinking that this psycho's death is a good thing. Prisons seem to take it as some sort of systemic failure when a prisoner kills himself, thinking that they should have done more to prevent it, but I say they should help these lowlifes off themselves. Even though he got to leave on his own terms, I'm still glad.

Now the state doesn't have to support and house him to the tune of tens of thousands of dollars. The women whose lives he twisted don't have to worry about him drawing another breath and they can know that the world is a better place now that he's not in it.

By the way, does anyone else think its ironic that this monster took a plea deal to avoid the death penalty and then offs himself?
