New Jersey's teachers are being evaluated for the first time and as the program begins, there is obvious trepidation among teachers.

An NJEA spokesperson has said that the teachers felt "terrorized" by the new evaluation program. The teachers are being judged by a new system that takes into account teacher practice via observation, student educational growth and test performance. The program is designed to boost teacher accountability and increase student performance.

If they are working hard and teaching their students to the best of their abilities, is it really anything to feel "terrorized" about?

As a New Jersey resident, what are your thoughts on the evaluation program? Is this a good thing for both teachers and students? Take the poll below and let us know your opinion.
