During Super Bowl week, the first few days are a media frenzy, with reporters from all over the world crowding around the players to get sound bytes or quotes, that is, unless you're interviewing Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch. Lynch has had some run-ins with the media in the past and at some point, decided that he was not going to speak to the media any longer. During media week, the NFL mandates all players be available for interviews. That meant Lynch would have to sit and field questions from reporters, well, sort of.

When asked a question, Lynch would simply respond "You know why I'm here." What Lynch is referring to is that the reason he is at media day is so that the NFL doesn't fine him for missing the media session.
