Geraldo Rivera may want to be a New Jersey Senator, but does New Jersey want the seeker of Al Capone’s vault in its seat? Apparently not.

According to a recent Monmouth University poll, fifty one per cent of registered voters say they would not even consider voting for Rivera should he be a candidate.

Just one in four described themselves as very (9%) or somewhat (17%) likely to vote for Rivera, while 65 % said they would not be likely to vote for him.

Rivera’s tweeted response “Monmouth poll shows me a long shot for Senate from NJ but I have not yet begun to fight.”

Do you want Geraldo to win that fight? If Frank Lautenberg’s vacated seat were to go to a celebrity, who would you like to see get it?  Please leave your candidate in the comment section below.
