A certain New Jersey professor can't seem to keep a job. But he's keeping his freedom, which is wrong.

Last year Kevin Allred was working as an adjunct lecturer at Rutgers' New Brunswick campus. He made national news after his rants on Twitter about gun control and flag burning. It led to police coming to his home and taking him to Bellevue Hospital for a psych eval. He passed, but was nonetheless put on administrative leave and forced to stop teaching classes.

One of the tweets that led to this read, "Will the 2nd amendment be as cool when I buy a gun and start shooting at random white people or no ...?" He posted this the day after Trump's victory. A student complained which brought about the scrutiny.

Now Kevin Allred is back in the news.

He was scheduled to start teaching at Montclair State University but the plug was pulled on his latest gig because of another tweet. This one read, "Trump is a f-----g joke. This is all a sham. I wish someone would just shoot him outright."

The tweet has since been deleted.

My amazement lies in the fact I'm not reading about any criminal charges for this clown. And by the way, Allred, if you're seeing this, NO I did NOT vote for Trump. But like it or not he is our president as much as guys like you whine about it. When you don't like it, you have an opportunity every 48 months to make a change. Publicly wishing someone would shoot our president is despicable. Does Allred think if he doesn't directly threaten to do it himself it is somehow acceptable? To write "I wish someone would just shoot him outright" should be considered criminal incitement. Just the same as fomenting riot is a criminal act even if you're not the one throwing the brick. Why is our Secret Service not rounding up lunatics like this? Same goes for Kathy Griffin holding the bloody decapitated Donald Trump head.

Of course Allred is droning about Montclair's decision. Some other tweets that have mysteriously gone missing.

“So FYI…Montclair State has fired me before I even started teaching there,” Allred tweeted. “When universities cave to basic conservative political pressure like this, they’re firmly taking a side.”

“It’s funny cuz in my interview [Montclair State was] super excited about me being young, hip, and calling out power. Guess not in practice, huh? This was all after they promised me work & had me spend weeks creating syllabi for classes they wanted me to teach. Very classy, Montclair.”

Actually, yes Allred, it was very classy of Montclair. Calling out power is one thing. Wishing someone shoot our president is another. You ought to be in prison.
