Route 1 Accident Clean Up To Delay Shoppers
The clean up from a jack knifed tractor trailer on Route 1 in North Brunswick has closed 2 lanes on the northbound side in the area of several shopping areas.
Earlier, all lanes had been closed.
New Jersey 101.5 Fast Traffic anchor Bernie Wagenblast says that shoppers headed for the shopping centers in that area will likely face delays as crews pick up a spilled load of groceries scattered all over the roadway. There is also a fuel spill that needs to be cleaned up.
Wagenblast suggests using Route 130 or the New Jersey Turnpike as an alternative to get around the area. However, the ramp from Route 130 to Route 1 is subject to closure as clean up continues.
The southbound lanes in the area are open but expect rubbernecking delays.
