Sonia, Rosie, Bailey and Goliath Need Forever Homes [NJ Pets of the Week]

NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Sammy’s Hope to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes.

Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Sonia

Left behind with four other cats when her owner moved, Sonia is a 5-year-old beauty.  While she is not one to demand attention, if you sit with her and brush her soft orange and white coat, or just pet and cuddle her, she will show her appreciation.  Like all our shelter cats, all Sonia really wants is a warm home, a sunny window and a family to love and care for her.

Adopt Rosie

Rosie, a sweet 6-month-old, is very shy and scared, but incredibly friendly in all situations. Rosie was found wandering, and was taken into a home for a few days with two other dogs. She is young and needs training, but will make a wonderful pet.

Adopt Bailey

Bailey is small, sweet Beagle looking for a loving home. He was adopted from the shelter earlier in the year, but after convalescing from a herniated disk, his family has brought him back to the shelter. Bailey hasn't exhibited any signs of being in pain while at the shelter. He is an enthusiastic walker, and happily sits for treats. He seems to be a little nervous around other dogs, so we would recommend a quiet, loving home for him where he can be spoiled with love and affection as the only dog.

Adopt Goliath

Goliath is a mellow, sweet boy. He loves to sit with people and is the best cuddler!  He's an absolute love.

EASEL Fundraiser for Bunny

EASEL Animal Rescue League has started a fundraiser for Bunny, a young American Staffordshire terrier mix, to raise funds for her care at Spirit Animal Sanctuary. Bunny is a good, sweet dog, who had the misfortune of losing her sight, making her more vulnerable and scared than other dogs. Many volunteers, shelter employees and trainers at the shelter were involved in her rehabilitation. Our video "A Bunny's Tale" tells her story. The money raised will go to the Easel Animal Rescue to purchase Bunny a lifetime of food and veterinary care at Spirit Animal Sanctuary.
