NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Peaches

Peaches is so cute! At first glance you would call her a black and white tuxedo and you would be right, but that’s not it. Peaches has a black raccoon mask, and a white stripe down her face leading to an adorable half-pink, half-black nose. Plus, Peaches is a polydactyl cat, which means she has six toes on her front feet and each of those toes is white tipped. Peaches loves to cuddle and play.

If you're interested in meeting Peaches or fostering/adopting her, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable cats from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Ozzie

Ozzie is a Labrador retriever and American Staffordshire terrier mix.  He's the biggest love bug!  He loves to snuggle and give kisses.  When he's not watching squirrels out the window or playing with water bottles, he's following his foster mom around the house. Ozzie's very energetic and likes to play a lot!  He's crate trained and walks very nicely on the leash. Ozzie's currently in training so he can learn manners while playing, and he's proving to be a very smart boy who listens well.

If you’re interested in learning more about Ozzie or to schedule a visit, email dogs@easelnj.org. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs and puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Max

Handsome Max, a Boxer mix, came to the shelter after his family lost their home. He is about 3-years-old, affectionate and a great companion. Max is a volunteer favorite and is described as "awesome" by many of them.  Max loves to play with other dogs and knows quite a few commands. He's got a lot of energy and would love to go home with a person or family who will give him the exercise and attention he craves.

If you're interested in meeting Max or fostering/adopting him, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable dogs from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.

Adopt Porkchop

Porkchop is a 8-year-old neutered male. He is a handsome boy, but can be a little shy. He would settle in nicely as a lap cat in a quiet home. He loves to be petted, brushed and even have his fluffy orange chin rubbed. Porkchop was pulled from a hoarding situation so he wants nothing more to have a safe clean place to call his own.

To schedule a visit to meet Porkchop, please email kitty@easelnj.org or call 609-883-0540. You can find more of EASEL’s adoptable cats and kittens here, or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
