Lucky, Zeb, Beau and Amber Need Forever Homes [NJ Pets of the Week]

NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Sammy’s Hope to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes.

Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Zeb

Is there anything cuter than a kitten in a tuxedo?  Well, Zeb might not be wearing an actual tuxedo, but with his handsome black and white markings, he may make you look twice!  Zeb shares a cage with Woody, and the two love to play around, but also really love human attention!  Zeb has no problem hanging in your arms while he checks out his surroundings, leaning into you and purring to let you know he appreciates it.

Adopt Lucky

Here's handsome Lucky, a young American Staffordshire terrier mix.  He's approximately 60 pounds, neutered, up-to-date on shots, and heart worm negative.  He's also crate and house-trained. He is currently in a foster home with two adult humans and two adult Border Collies.  Lucky is very sociable and enjoys daily walks, romps in a fenced-in-yard, squeaky toys, tummy rubs, and treats. He gets along with other animals and would make a nice pet for a family with no small children.  Lucky is energetic, playful, and curious to see and smell everything. But what he loves the most is getting lots of attention from people.

Adopt Beau

Beau is a young American Staffordshire terrier mix who loves to cuddle, hang out with people and go for walks.  His soulful eyes are as beautiful as his personality. Beau's polite with the other dogs he has walked with at the shelter, and adores any people who will give him attention. He is a strong dog and his volunteer friends are helping him learn his leash manners. Beau has quickly learned his basic commands and loves to show them off.

Adopt Amber

Amber is petite, sweet and fun!  Her foster mother likes to call her "the ninja," as she moves through the house quickly and quietly.  She is playful, energetic and full of life. She will even play fetch with the right toy. Amber loves to be the center of attention and you will often find her wherever you are. She gets along well with all adults and children, as well as other cats and some dogs. She is easy going and should have no problem transitioning into her forever home!

EASEL Fundraiser for Bunny

EASEL Animal Rescue League has started a fundraiser for Bunny, a young American Staffordshire terrier mix, to raise funds for her care at Spirit Animal Sanctuary. Bunny is a good, sweet dog, who had the misfortune of losing her sight, making her more vulnerable and scared than other dogs. Many volunteers, shelter employees and trainers at the shelter were involved in her rehabilitation. Our video "A Bunny's Tale" tells her story. The money raised will go to the Easel Animal Rescue to purchase Bunny a lifetime of food and veterinary care at Spirit Animal Sanctuary.
