Liv, Leo, Blake and Taco Need Forever Homes [NJ Pets of the Week]

NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Sammy’s Hope to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes.

Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.

Adopt Liv

Liv is a beautiful young girl looking for her forever family!  She is super sweet and loves to cuddle. She was brought to the shelter as a stray, and needed intensive medical care, but her strong spirit shone through.  This little survivor truly deserves a warm, loving home.

Adopt Leo

Leo is a happy, friendly Golden Retriever/Chow mix that was adopted from another rescue group in December 2013.  His owner left him in the house for long periods of time and he became destructive and suffered from separation anxiety.  Leo also wasn't properly crate trained.  His former owner also didn't socialize him with other dogs so he's very reactive. In order to correct the mistakes of his previous owner, Leo will need to be properly trained out of his bad habits as a condition of being adopted.

Adopt Blake

Blake is an American Staffordshire terrier mix that came to the shelter as a stray, so we don't know much about him. He's a bit nervous in the shelter and really just longs for a quiet home where he can be with loving people. He's young and energetic, so he needs a family or individual who loves a high energy dog and knows how to help him be the best dog he can through love and training.

Adopt Taco

Taco's personality is as zesty as his name! This 2-year-old boy is sweet, energetic and loves attention. He will be your most loyal friend after a good ear scratch and loves to be petted and held. Taco loves to make his presence known by following people around for attention and enjoys batting around his favorite toys. He's FIV/FeLV negative, neutered, micro chipped and up-to-date on all shots.
