Pretty soon we'll see Girl Scouts at our front door, in front of your local supermarket, or their mom's and dad's taking orders for those treats we enjoy once a year.

Now that our holiday feasts are a month behind us, maybe we can indulge in a snack that's available for only a short time.  What the heck, forget about guilt.  Let's have a tasty celebration for the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts.  Here's a little factoid for you.  The Girl Scouts were established by Juliette "Daisy" Gordon on March 12, 1912 in Savannah Georgia.  How about that, Y'all.  That's my best Paula Deen impersonation.  Back to the cookies.  This year we have a choice of twelve types of cookies.  Some of our favorites include the Do-Si-Dos peanut butter sandwiches, Trefoils shortbread cookie, and the most popular, which happens to be my favorite, Thin Mints.  To mark the Girl Scout's 100th anniversary, there's a new choice this year.  The cookie is called, Savannah Smiles.  It's a crisp cookie with a zesty lemon taste, dusted with powdered sugar. Talk about gilding the lily!  So, what's your favorite Girl Scout cookie?  Maybe you have a couple of favorites.  Please, comment and let me know.  http://www.girlscouts.org/program/gs_cookies/
