Hamilton Woman Fatally Wounded as Gunman Opens Fire on Car

Mercer County prosecutors say a woman has died from wounds she suffered when a gunman fired several shots into a parked car where she and several other people were sitting.

Twenty-one-year-old Danielle Schrenk of Hamilton died early Monday, a day after the shooting occurred in nearby Ewing. No other injuries were reported in the incident.

A motive for the shooting remains unknown, and authorities would not say whether they believe the gunman targeted Schrenk. The assailant ran off after the shooting and remains at large.
