Police say Rodolfy Lopez turned himself in to police Wednesday for the stabbing of Zbigniew Truszkowski in Brooklyn Monday night.

The 35-year-old of Jersey City, New Jersey, man has been charged with felony assault, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.

He was in custody and unavailable for comment. Attorney information wasn't immediately available.

Police say the 37-year-old Truszkowski was stabbed after his stepdaughter argued with another man outside their home.

They say the teenager called for Truszkowski's help but when he tried to intervene Lopez stabbed him in the stomach.

Truszkowski was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
