Butch, Minnie, Woody and Sophie need forever homes [NJ Pets of the Week]
NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescue organizations EASEL Animal Rescue League and Friends of EMAS (Edison Municipal Animal Shelter) to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.
Butch is a ridiculously cute orange and white male cat who we think is about 5-years-old. When Butch first came to us he had a terrible upper respiratory infection, and although he felt awful, he was always sweet and loving. Now that Butch is feeling better, his personality is even more apparent. He loves to be pet and wind in and out of your legs, looking up at you with those dreamy eyes until you come down to his level to pay attention to him.
If you’re interested in meeting Butch or fostering/adopting him, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable cats from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
Woody, a Boxer and Staffordshire Terrier mix, is about 2-years-old. Woody was very shy when he first came to the shelter as a stray, but he has since come out of his shell. He’s been doing well in training, and knows basic commands. He has learned so much in a short time. Woody is super affectionate and thinks he’s a lap dog. He’s also eager to please, listens well and is very smart. He loves to meet new people and has done well at adoption events with the public. Woody is also well-behaved in the car, sitting down and enjoying the sights. If you want a friendly, loving, calm, smart and well-behaved dog, Woody is your guy! Come to the shelter and meet him, you won’t be disappointed!
If you’re interested in learning more about Woody or to schedule a visit, email firstname.lastname@example.org. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs and puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
Minnie is the life of the party! She is 5-months-old and came to us as a stray. She loves to play with any and all human and dog friends. Minnie is happiest chasing a playmate in and out of the kiddie pool. She’s all about having fun and would do well in any home. Minnie learns new things quickly, and it would be great to see her in basic training classes. Far and away, everyone who meets Minnie falls in love with her.
If you’re interested in meeting Minnie or fostering/adopting her, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org. You can see more adoptable dogs from Friends of EMAS here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
Sophie is an older cat that was taken from a home with many other cats whom the owners could not care for. She is mellow, but very affectionate and loves to be pet. Give Sophie a few scratches behind her ears and she will reward you with a deep purr. She has beautiful long, gray hair that will need to be brushed, but she won’t mind!
