Athlete Shoves Mascot After Race – Should He Be Punished? [VIDEO/POLL]

French runner, Mahiedine Mekhissi-Benabbad had just won a 3,000 meter steeplechase event when he decided it would somehow be okay to slap a gift bag out of a mascot's hand then shove the mascot hard. Not that it isn't bad to begin with, but inside the mascot costume was a 14 year old girl. Real nice. Watch the video of it below, along with many other examples of mascots being roughed up. I guess we've all wanted to slap around Barney the Dinosaur or give Elmo the Atomic Elbow Drop, but for God's sake you don't actually DO it! Do you think this French runner should be punished?
