Two Tree Workers Injured During Electrical Shock Accident

Two Ocean County men are injured while trimming trees on a Wall property Saturday.

The Asbury Park Press reports the accident occurred around noon on Pierce Street, when one of the workers made contact with a primary-transmission power line.

The victim, a 39 year old Toms River man, fell off a ladder after receiving a shock from the power line.  His co-worker, a 20 year old from Manchester, was on the ground and suffered leg injuries while trying to catch him.

Both men were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.  The accident is under investigation.
