Subaru Loves Pets Event: Celebrate Your Fur Babies with Lester Glenn & All Fur One
October is Subaru Loves Pets month, and Lester Glenn Subaru in Toms River is planning a celebration that will give you the zoomies.
All Fur One Pet Rescue & Adoptions will have adoptable pets on site, and Lester Glenn Subaru will host a pet costume contest with prizes for the best-dressed four-legged friend. Homemade, store-bought, well-loved, or brand new — all types of pet costumes are welcome, as is friendly competition and creativity.
The free community event will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Lester Glenn Subaru showroom, 1501 Route 37 West, Toms River. There's no cost to enter the pet costume contest, but Lester Glenn Subaru will offer fundraising options throughout the event to support All Fur One.
They recently sent Rice Krispies to the showroom to work on some deals, and he left so many smiles on customers' and employees' faces that we're sure everyone will love when his friends return for the celebration:
All Fur One has rescued and rehomed dogs and cats across Ocean and Monmouth counties for years, operating out of a 2,300 square foot facility staffed entirely by volunteers.
Subaru Loves Pets is part of Subaru's national Love Promise initiative, which sets aside October each year to support shelters and rescues and to push adoption for the animals that wait longest for homes.
So, start prepping your pet costume, consider whether you'd like to adopt another pet, and watch for updates on the event as planning continues. We can't wait to see you there Oct. 24!
