Strong winds and heavy rains have arrived in some areas of New Jersey.

Wind gusts ripped a facade from a tattoo shop on the Wildwood boardwalk Tuesday. WMGM TV reports falling debris also damaged the boardwalk.

Meanwhile, The Record newspaper reports the top of an old oak tree landed on the roof of a home in Ridgewood.

The National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center says there is also a possibility of tornado activity in New Jersey today along with the straight line winds. Winds are expected to average 40 MPH inland and 50 MPH along the coast line with gusts up to 60MPH.

A Wind Advisory is in effect for all of New Jersey until midnight.

Power outages that popped up in Morris County early Tuesday morning during the first round of rain and wind affecting  JCP+L customers have cleared up according to its outage map.

PSE+G's outage map shows customers still out in Bergen County.

2-3 inches of rain is expected from the early fall storm with the highest amounts in eastern Pennsylvania and northwest New Jersey. A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect along the Delaware River with high tides late in the afternoon.

The National Weather Service  issued a special Active Weather Threat statement for heavy thunderstorms and strong damaging winds beginning Tuesday afternoon and continuing through Wednesday.
