See our 4 adoptable NJ pets of the week: Skylar, Spanky, City Girl and Robin Violet
NJ101.5 has partnered with local animal rescues EASEL Animal Rescue League (Ewing Animal Shelter) and the Edison Municipal Animal Shelter to feature adoptable local pets in need of homes. Help us find these pets homes by sharing this information with family members and friends who may be interested in adopting a shelter pet.
Adopt Skylar
Skylar is a beautiful Russian Blue with soulful gold eyes. This sweet and charming cat was brought to the Edison Municipal Animal Shelter after being abandoned by her family when they moved and left her behind. At first she was shy, but with some love and care from the staff and volunteers at the shelter, she now feels safe and secure. Skylar loves to play and nuzzle. She is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations and FIV/FeLV negative.
If you're interested in meeting Skylar or adopting her, please email us at EAS@edisonnj.org or call us at 732-248-7278. You can see more adoptable cats from Edison Municipal Animal Shelter here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
Adopt Spanky
Spanky, at the Ewing Animal Shelter, is truly a little rascal! This American Bulldog mix wants to play all the time. He'll even try to play with your shoes when he goes on a walk. Spanky loves people and is getting much better about not getting over-excited when people pet him. While he is an excited dog, he listens very well once you get his attention. In the time he has been at the shelter, he has improved daily.
If you’re interested in learning more about Spanky or to schedule a visit, email dogs@easelnj.org or call 609-883-0540. Find more of EASEL’s adoptable dogs and puppies here or download a PDF copy of the application form here.
Adopt City Girl
City Girl, a 6-year-old Pointer and Spaniel mix, was surrendered to the Edison Municipal Animal Shelter after her owner became disabled and could no longer care of her. She's a playful dog that enjoys going on long walks. She can be a bit particular about who her doggy friends are, but she's generally friendly with other dogs. City Girl is up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed.
Adopt Robin
Robin is currently up for adoption at the Ewing Animal Shelter. She's a super sweet girl who loves affection. In fact, after she finishes playing with her littermates, this purring machine loves to be held and cuddled. Robin is spayed, up-to-date on her vaccinations and FIV/FeLV negative.
To schedule a visit to meet Violet, please email kitty@easelnj.org or call 609-883-0540. The Easel trailer and Ewing Animal Shelter are located at 2 Jake Garzio Drive in Ewing.
