PARSIPPANY — A man who had barricaded himself in a hotel room with his children was arrested without injuries police said on Wednesday.

Morris County Prosecutor Fredric M. Knapp said 33-year-old Jamel Taylor was arrested after authorities were called to the Travelodge Inn on reports that Taylor was going to cause harm to his children. Knapp said the police found Taylor barricaded in his room with his children.

The Morris County Sheriff's Emergency Response Team was able to get into the hotel room and took Taylor into custody without anyone being hurt. Taylor was charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
