University of Michigan student Connor Jaeger was born in Fair Haven, NJ and spent his childhood swimming.

As a high school student he was named All-State in the 200-meter freestyle. He went on to continue his swimming career at the University of Michigan.

During this past swimming season, Jaeger was named an NCAA All-American in three events; 500-meter freestyle, 800-meter freestyle relay and the 1650-meter freestyle. He also became the 2012 Big Ten Champion in the 800-meter freestyle relay and the 1650-meter freestyle.

At the Olympic trials, Jaeger qualified for the Olympic team with a second place finish in the 1,500-meter freestyle.

Conner Jaeger will be competing in his first Olympics swimming in the 1,500-meter freestyle.

OLYMPIC UPDATE: Jaeger qualified for the 1,500-meter freestyle final with a time of 14:57.56. In the final, Jaeger finished 6th with a time of 14:52.99.
