Twenty-eight-year-old Stephen Rainone, of South Amboy, was sentenced to five years in state prison on Friday in Middlesex County.

The state attorney general's office says Rainone pleaded guilty in June and acknowledged using file-sharing software to make child pornography available for other users.

Authorities arrested Rainone in February 2013 as part of a broader arrest operation.

In 2005, he pleaded guilty to engaging in oral sex with a minor and was sentenced to four years in prison and was subject to parole supervision for life under Megan's Law.

Rainone has been behind bars since the 2013 arrest.
