Labor Day NJ traffic: 15-mile delays on Garden State Parkway

Coming back from the Jersey Shore on the Garden State Parkway? Expect a slow, slow ride?

As of 4 p.m., the state Department of Transportation was reporting six-mile delays on the Parkway North between Exists 30 and 36.

It's even worse up in the area from the Forked River Service area to Exit 90 — there were 15-mile delays there.

Around the same time, the state was reporting 3.5-mile delays coming into the area of Exit 102, and 2-mile delays around Exit 120. There was another 2.5 mile delay coming itno the area of Exit 153A in Clifton.
