Holiday Hike for Gas Prices
Holiday travelers spent a little more on gas this week than last, but still less than they did a year ago.
New Jersey's average price jumped $0.08 to $3.27 per gallon. That's still a penny lower than the national average and $0.23 less than the Garden State price a year ago.
Trenton-area stations reported the highest prices at $3.30 per gallon, while Cape May and Burlington Counties had the lowest at $3.25.
AAA Mid-Atlantic attributes the rise in prices to maintenance at Gulf Coast refineries and seasonally higher demand.
