The ShopRite LPGA Classic is one of South Jersey's biggest and best summer events. Not only do you get to see the nation's top female golfers in action at the beautiful Seaview Resort, but you're supporting an event that has raised more than $38 million for local hospitals, food banks, and charities since its inception in 1986.

This year, the best of the LPGA will descend upon Galloway to once again compete for the title, including World No. 1 Jin Young Ko, defending champion Céline Boutier, and major champions Lydia Ko and Inbee Park. In addition, the final round will be broadcast live on network television for the first time. You can tune into CBS television from 1-3 p.m. June 12.

Golfing starts bright and early so you'll enjoy plenty of fresh air, but if you're bringing the family, be sure to check out these events for our youngest golf enthusiasts:

• At the Junior Golf Show (3 p.m. June 11), kids can connect with LPGA players who will share how they made it to the professional circuit, present swing demonstrations, and offer autographs and gifts, all at the Seaview practice facility.
• The GIRLS GOT DRIVE Family Fun Zone presented by PGA TOUR Superstore is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 10-12 in the Spectator Village with food and games.

In addition, ShopRite is partnering with Kleenex and SERVPRO on a Patriots' Pavilion, which is a special hospitality area on the 11th green for military (past and present), first responders, and medical personnel. These patriots, and any accompanying family, will receive free admission to the event as well as free food and water in the hospitality area to thank them for their service.
