That was the question that Eric Scott asked this morning and the majority of the callers said no. Eric and the callers seemed to be in agreement that this was nothing more than a feel-god gesture by NJ politicians to show that they are doing all they can to stop people from being on their cell phones while behind the wheel.

But the issue isn't making tougher penalties and suspensions, it is about whether or not law officers will enforce the laws or not. Do you think the higher fines and possible suspensions will deter NJ drivers from talking and texting while driving? Take our poll and let us know.
