What do Jersey Bumper Stickers and Car Magnets say about us?
New Jersey cars have been "mobile billboards" forever!
Whether proclaiming school and college pride, political causes and politicians, or just as an expression of the owner's personality...
...bumper stickers, car magnets and static stickers are everywhere in New Jersey!
Except on my car...and that is a deliberate choice on my part. I just don't want stickers all over my car...
As you will see, I am very much in the minority!
Here's just a random sampling of "mobile expression of personality" that I've seen in my travels across the great Garden State, recently:
We start with the traditional "bumper sticker."
And, move on quickly...
How 'bout some "fido love!"
And:
(Below) I'll snap the picture quickly!
Being a cat person from about the age of 7...
...I'm "equal opportunity" in this photo article. Besides, my sister has both dogs and cats! Lots of both. For my family's sake, I'll keep the peace, in photo form!
Speaking of families...
Below, I'm thinking that the mom has a headache...
...probably caused by the...
TWINS!
Need to "get away from it all?"
Maybe this photo below will make you (or your young twins) feel even better!
Got cartoons?
Got gas? Wait...that didn't sound right!
When I'm out in public representing the station, I have had listeners tell me to remind Dennis and Judi that: "Jersey Girls Don't Pump Gas!" Here it is in "sticker" form!
At the top, I did mention politics, right?
Hey, I'm fair to both sides of the political "equation" (even though they may fight like "cats and dogs")...
Here's one more that I am just starting to see on the Jersey highways and byways:
Wherever you stand politically...
"Can't We All Just Get Along?"
OK...Maybe not!
Moving along:
Proud parents...
Thank YOU for your service, m'aam!"
There's a bumper sticker...a window sticker...a car magnet...for every personality, and every cause...or so it seems to me after just a few days of random viewing and photo snapping!
And, I could go on and on, but YOUR eyes will "glaze over."
So, I'll close out with one that's "tried and true:"
A car "classic," serving families (with or without twins) since approximately 1986.
What have you seen? And...what does it say about the driver?
Feel free to share in words...although a picture is worth, well...you know.
