Enterovirus Spreads - State health officials have now confirmed at least one case in New Jersey and they are expecting more. All hospitals and health centers in New Jersey have been placed on alert. Schools are being told what to look for. The infection spread rapidly from the Midwest and the kids who have gotten it have become very sick.

Another Player Faces Charges -  Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer is charged with aggravated assault for an alleged July attack on the mother of his toddler son. Also on Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers decided that star defensive end Greg Hardy won't play any more games until his domestic violence case is resolved. Hardy was convicted of assaulting a woman and threatening to kill her, but he's appealing the case.

Meanwhile, the owner of the Vikings admits the team made a mistake bringing Adrian Peterson back before his child abuse case was settled...

One Step Closer - The U.S. Senate followed the House's lead today and gave the Obama Administration authority to arm and train Syrian rebels so they can go after the group Islamic state. In Australia 15 people have been arrested for plotting a public beheading. An ISIS leader called on Australian supporters to kill. The plan was to randomly select a victim in Sydney and carry out the gruesome execution...

Cost of Rock Salt Jumps - Here's some not-so-shocking news. following the brutal winter we had last year, when many towns ran out of road salt, we get word the cost of that salt is now up significantly.

Explosion Claims Life - A man's body was found in the rubble of an East Brunswick home destroyed by an explosion and fire this week. We don't yet have an ID. Neighbors report hearing a large explosion. By the time fire fighters got there, there wasn't much left of the home. A gas explosion is possible but not confirmed....

Balloon Causes Accident - A balloon from her baby shower caused a New Jersey woman to crash her car in Franklin Township. She had just left the shower, and had a balloon in the backseat, when it drifted into the front of the car, causing her to swerve. The car hit a tree and flipped over. Both she and the baby will be ok.

Holiday Help - If you're one of the many still looking for work things could be looking up! The outplacement consultant firm challenger, Gray and Christmas says they expect big seasonal employment gains in the retail sector this year. More than 800,000 seasonal workers could be hired, the highest since 1999.

"Bribe" to Leagues? - Already getting pushback from pro leagues on legalizing sports betting, New Jersey lawmakers are proposing what amounts to a bribe. They aren't calling it that. But the proposal would give a small percent of every bet to the leagues to “protect the integrity" of the games. It's hoped the leagues will take the money and not sue to stop sports betting.

Keep it Clean Mow your lawn, clean-up your house and present some curb appeal...or else. In the Burlington County town of Evesham has passed a new ordinance that fines residents $1,500 per day -- if they don't keep up their properties. It's actually targeted to homes that are in foreclosures by banks who don't pay anyone to maintain the homes...

Tuition Freeze - What do you think about lowering the cost of attending a public college in New Jersey while also giving institutions of higher education the incentive to graduate students in four years? That's exactly what would happen under a bill being considered by an Assembly committee today...

Preparing for Snooki - A North Jersey town is trying to blunt the negative effects of Snooki's wedding. She will wed at the Venitian in the fall and Garfield officials have passed a new permit ordinance they hope will reduce the time MTV spends in town and how much damage they can do...
