Victim found in rubble of East Brunswick home blast
investigators have discovered a body in an East Brunswick home leveled by an explosion and fire overnight.
The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office says a body was found during a search of the home at 4 Agate Road but did not identify the victim. Earlier, the prosecutor told told CBS New York his office believes the home was not targeted and there is no risk to the public.
NJ.com reports that investigators brought in dogs to search the rubble and put a blue tarp on top when they were done.
Neighbor Sal Malfitano described flames as being high as 50-feet shot into the air when the house blew up. He told CBS New York the entire neighborhood is "praying that the gentleman who lives there wasn’t home."
There were no reported gas leaks in the home according to PIX 11 and PSE&G crews are part of the investigation along with the Middlesex County Fire Marshall..
