So here we were backstage at the Comedy Cove in Springfield preparing for the big show with Joe Piscopo, Bill Spadea, Jay Black, John Kensil, Jessica Nutt and myself and I'm thinking, wouldn't it be fun to share these backstage moments with you? So I take out my iPhone and blindly turn it on myself to do the setup then focus in on Bill, Joe, Gene Nagel, the owner of the Comedy Cove and fellow "Union City brother," and Jay Black.

What I didn't realize until afterwards was that when I turned the camera on myself, all I got was my big nose!! So to prove that I have a "nose for news," check out this pre-show interview.

By the way, the show was great! Joe Piscopo talked Jersey and sang the National Anthem Sinatra style, Jessica Nutt beat Spadea to the muffin joke with the "marshmallow" joke. Bill rebounds with a "dog" joke, then John Kensil and Jay Black knock it out of the park. 16 year old Ali Marks from the Boys and Girls club also sang a Smokey Robinson song as well as Frank Sinatra's "New York New York."

We also raised a lot of money for the Boys and Girls clubs in New Jersey and we'll be doing it again Thursday March 2 at Catch A Rising Star in Princeton. Hope to see you there!
