Gov. Chris Christie visited small businesses along the Jersey shore Wednesday that had been damaged in Superstorm Sandy, highlighting a program of government grants and loans available to those looking to rebuild. Christie visited two stores and a restaurant that have already benefited from the program.
Superstorm Sandy was no match for Island Beach State Park, and now, a little over eight months later, the full 10-mile stretch of bathing beaches, boardwalks and nature reserves have re-opened for the vital tourism season.
After a long day at the beach, grab the family and unwind with some great tunes and exciting entertainment at the shore. Find out where to enjoy free live music in The Wildwoods for the 2013 summer season!
Tsunami-like waves were reported along the East Coast on June 13 according to the National Weather Service (NOAA), who say that the tsunami was recorded by more than 30 tide gages and one DART buoy throughout the Northwestern Atlantic Ocean.
Each week, Long Branch draws in crowds of music lovers who enjoy live concerts at the shore. Get the 2013 schedules for Thursdays by the Sea live shows at Festival Plaza in Pier Village and for Sunday Blues by the Beach concerts at West End Park!
