We had another Bruce Springsteen sighting this past Saturday night when “The Boss” performed for the 15th annual “Light Of Day” event which took place on Saturday night at the Paramount Theatre.

"It was great!" says Tom Cunningham who hosts the Bruce Brunch on our sister station 1057 THE HAWK on Sundays from 9-11a. Cunningham provides a full show rundown here.

Speaking about this year's show, Cunningham says “The 15th Light Of Day Main Event concert is being bandied about as perhaps being the best one to date.  It would be tough to argue that idea.  Great sets by John Eddie, Willie Nile, Garland Jeffreys and James Maddock really set a great tone for the night.  By the time La Bamba's Big Band hit the stage, with guest vocalists Bruce a Springsteen and Southside Johnny it was on in a big way.  Springsteen joined Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers for a scalding set that lasted close to two hours.   Highlights included "Darkness On The Edge Of Town," "Savin' Up" and a love-drenched version of "Thunder Road," sung side-by-side with event organizer Bob Benjamin.” .

Former E Street drummer Vinie “Mad Dog” Lopez who performed Friday with Dawg Whistle at the Asbury Yacht Club and again Saturday night at Light of Day says “What a great way to support Bob Benjamin. Light of Day goes on all over the world, all through the year, I’m very proud to be a part of that.”
