There have been multiple stories this summer about parents leaving their kids in the car. In examining NJ's child abuse laws, leaving a child in a car is not specifically defined in the laws as abuse or neglect.

Should there be a specific law or mandatory fine and or punishment for a parent that does leave their child in a car unattended?
