MOUNT OLIVE — A 23-year-old township man was arrested Thanksgiving morning and charged with forcing a 17-year-old girl into prostitution.

The teen told investigators that Michael Keenan drove her to hotels in this township several times from Nov. 11 to Nov. 21, where she had sex with men who paid her.

The proceeds of the underage sex work were shared with Keenan, prosecutors said.

Keenan was charged with first-degree human trafficking, first-degree promoting prostitution, and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

He was being held Thursday at Morris County jail with bail set at $150,000. A Superior Court judge also issued a restraining order against him. It was not clear Friday whether Keenan had an attorney.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit at 973-285-6200.

The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office does not release an arrest booking photo of suspects.
