New Jersey does not currently require its private employers to extend earned sick days to their employees. There are arguments on both sides.

It would allow workers to not only take care of themselves, but their children as well. For the businesses, who now have to pay an increased minimum wage, it would mean more money to operate in New Jersey. They would also have to find replacements for those who call out.

How do you feel about mandatory sick time in New Jersey? What’s your company’s policy on it?
