LUMBERTON, N.J. (AP) — Authorities say one student suffered minor injuries when a small school bus overturned following a crash on a southern New Jersey roadway.
The accident in Lumberton occurred shortly before 3 p.m. Monday. Authorities say the bus was stopped at an intersection when it was rear-ended by a car, and the impact caused the bus to tip over.
Authorities say three students, ranging in age from 10 to 15, were on the bus. It wasn't clear if the two other students or the drivers of the bus and car were hurt in the accident.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
Main Street, also known as Route 541, was closed off in both directions at Bella Road according to New Jersey Fast Traffic but reopened around 5 p.m.
