Six children and one adult were injured when a school bus rear-ended a pickup truck on a northern New Jersey roadway.

But authorities say none of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

The accident occurred late Monday afternoon in Old Tappan. The bus was carrying 43 children, ranging in age from 4 to 12, who had just been picked up from a nearby day camp.

The seven injured people were being treated at hospitals. Authorities say the six children suffered minor injuries, while the pickup driver had "moderate injuries."

Authorities say the cause of the accident was under investigation.
